Has anyone used one of these? I am fairly new to camping and have a 5 person dome at present. My wife and kids came camping with me at the weekend and we liked the look of the tunnel tents on the site.We had to sit in the rain while most other campers where under cover! I have seen these on ebay and they are not very expensive but I'm not sure if it's a false economy buying one .
Does anyone have any other recomendations, 5 persons with a reasonable sized living space.
Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Wait For IT!!!! the Tentastic sl*gging Off Brigade will be with you shortly.
I've had one of these tents and have had no problems with build quality, use in rain etc. Some people may say I'm lucky but even the more expensive tents leak all fall down in adverse weather conditions but we have to whisper about these.
Can I suggest that you do a search here, for "Tentastic" Or "Leben" or "Rage" (another make of tent sold by Tentastic) read through the many results you will get and then draw your own conclusions.
There are many very good tunnel tents out there for not too much money. If you post your budget and requirements you will get loads of advice.
Good luck with the search and welcome to the forum.
I ordered a Leben Aachen from ebay but was not over impressed with the quality. I enquired with Tentastic about the Rage Alta 6 / 4 man and was told that it was a much better tent. I went for the Rage instead and sure enough it was a much better made tent. We went to Cornwall for a week where it did it's job and stood up to torrential rain without leaking. It was well made, did what it was supposed to do, and only cost £46 on ebay. I would be quite happy to use it again. So go for Rage in preference to Leben.
i have got a Leben Aache 4 and i have just come back from the V festival the weather rained all weekend, and very windy....
Not one leak inside nothing, just a bit on the porch bit where the driving rain was in coming in but i hasten to add all the doors were open as i was making a drink. Oh and when i come back at midnight after a days rain there was a few tiny puddles in the porch area, but i asked everyone near me who had 'better' tents than me and all had a leakage in the porch bit.
