Hi,

I'm thinking of investing in a new tent for me, the missus and my little girl.

I really like the Bear Lake 4 - I've had a look through the (really good) message boards here, but could do with knowing what my chances are of putting up a BL4 on my todd?

I'm a fit, strong bloke, with plenty of experience of putting up tents on my own. I can manage my current Coleman Weathermaster Plus without any problem, but the BL is obviously much heavier.

Thanks.

With a whole season (5 pitches) of practice behind me, I think I could probably manage to put our Norfolk Lake up on my own! The only part where two people would be ideal is the lift (when you pull all the hoops into the upright position), perhaps you could get a fellow camper to give you a hand for 30 seconds (or maybe your missus!!!). The BL4 is smaller and lighter than the NL so should be a bit more managable overall. Buy it (on sale at millets at £399!), it's a cracking tent and i'm sure you'll be fine!
