thanks mike this is our family tent .me and hubby use our cabanon barbados. we love it we have got ccsite booked at eskdale on the 4th off sep we will have to take biscaya 500 on this one to test it out there is only two off us .but rather large newfy lol but i suppose they say what will hold a lot will hold a little other wise it would be next year before we could try it denise .
Hi, just wondering how you got on with your Biscaya 500. I'm looking at replacing my Aruba with one, but I'm not sure how stable and wind resistant they are compared to the old shape Cabanons. I pitch my tent from May to September and the pitch is 'affectionately' known as Hurricane Alley and can experience up to Force 8 winds. Does the dome shape seem to withstand bad weather? Your advice would be appreciated.

We would take our Biscaya 440 to the North pole and have no worries, a true bomb proof holiday home and the next best thing to a white tin box or Cabanon trailer Tent.

Cheers for that. Been mulling over for some time and trying to get as much feedback as possible before I take the plunge. Doing a measure up of pitch at weekend, to see if the Biscaya and Super Kitchen tent will fit on my pitch, which will be the deciding factor.
we sent it back due to the kitchen side area it had a hole wore in due to the chaffing with wind other people on here had same problem .not one off the best tents i have ever had

awe, now I'm confused. Not sure whether to take the plunge with the new shaped roof, or stick to the 'tried and tested' Arubas and Espaces. No one has had a dome Cabanon in Herm, as far as I'm aware, and I am worried of losing it within a week, especially as it is to last for 5 months a year at a time!. Other polyester/cheaper type domes have not normally faired well .......
we had no luck with that tent we had the 440 with kitchen there was a bad design fault with kitchen the pole tied in did not fit in sleeve but think they may have rectified that . sent back did not want the kitchen one again we got the 500 erecting in eskdale first time two holes in roof contacted supplier said we send back when you get home well yes it did rain in for two weeks came home went off for inspection apparently something to do with the way the canvas came off the rollers
so they put a new roof panel in was not happy expected a new tent . then well it came back with an odd colour roof panel a lot darker cream . well money back time 1250 we got a refund after that was convinced not meant to have one and was very put off
There was a design fault with the first models but soon replaced and now the same design is used in all Bisbaya and TT models with no complaints. Talk with Forest Camping Centre for some good honest advice and good luck with your purchase.
