I have got/had the same problem with my LV6. The truth is I don't like the tent, but I got a good deal on it and I think the worst is over. The trick is to loosen the straps for the pole pins right off and then tighten them just enough to hold the shape of the tent (take any wrinkles out). Don't overtighten the guys at that section, don't overtighten the horizontal stormpoles, and experiment how far out you peg the guys out.
The experience has put me off this type of tunnel tent. That said despite the (IMHO) poor quality of the stitching and this grumble, it has withstood more wind tham I care to camp in again, and masses of driving rain, with not a sign of a leak (It took me and the other half two plus hours to set it up that time, due to the ferocity of the wind. She is a petite 5'3" and she nearly took off, I have been there since but the wind was not as great ).
I still find that I don't experience tightness in the zip in the day, but when the flysheet cools it can be a little tight. Mine is hear to stay, it has had 4 weekends away and is about to go on it's second week this year. If it breaks, I will fight the good fight (try to claim it on warranty) and chalk it up to experience. In the meantime it provides a large living area, I have a free canopy and windbreak, and I don't have to go through the aggravation of choosing another tent.
If you like it stick with it, if not take it back.
