Khyam have said that they are not aware of any problems with their poles - ho hummmmm, every single one of ours has split on our first trip
Soooooooo, now we need to find a replacement for our Indiana 8TC ('fraid I'm not really interested in replacement poles given that every single one has gone)
Any ideas folks? We love the tent - space, 3 separate pods (happy with 2), sensible shape for pitching and easy to pitch, no SIG, would be happy to have something a wee bit smaller and lighter

We had the splitting poles problem on our Royal Michigan a few years ago. The shop that sold us our Indiana said you must push the poles together, not let the elastic do the job.
The Indiana has been good for 4 years now.

When I looked at the khyam range of tents one of the things I noticed was they seemed to use narrower poles. I did do a brief comparison with similar tents from other manufacturers and they aren't the only ones, for instance the Vango Oregon 600 seems to use narrow poles, but then it also employs the TBS to hold its shape.
