Hi, can anyone help me with a problem...we have just bought an Indina 4, and had a trial pitch in the garden. we love the tent, but when it was up, we ended up with one side, where the bedroom pods are, with a big gap from the bottom of the flysheet to the ground. it looked like we just needed to slide the canvas over the poles, but the tension was just too tight, and it wouldn't move. Can anyone please tell me if we have done something wrong, or if this is likely to be a fault with the tent? It does not have a SIG - just a bathtub in the living area.
Thanks.

Sorry, didn't mean bedroom pods - rather the end where the bedrooms are!!
Also, I know this may sound like a daft question, but as a relative newby - are you supposed to have the mud flaps tucked inside, or pegged down sloping away rom the tent?
mines a khyam indiana & the flaps should be tucked under your groundsheet ( they won't stay there for long tho ) I usually end up with gaps too, even if I get it right when pitching a few good gusts of wind readjusts the tent & I get gaps again.
As msty says its all to do with tightening the tension straps when pitching.

Make sure the doors are shut at final pitch stage so that the shape is right, also put the groundsheet in which also gives you an idea of the shape......and as has been said, make sure the tension staps are slack before you start......also the tent will give after a few pitches
I seem to remember a discussion last year on this subject. The suggestions were:
1) keep the tension straps loose when erecting 2) Make sure that the flysheet is symetrical on the poles
and one you probably haven't thought of:
3) if the flysheet has a tendancy to ride up, try moving the ends of that pole in towards each other. This should allow the flysheet to reach lower. 4) when pegged, then tension the straps if required.
I don't have this tent but I believe these worked last year, so hopefully will this year too.

Sounds like you just pitched the fornt too low ,try setting it up rear first next time but sdont tighten the guy ropes or tesioning straps till you have all the anchor points pegged dow nnfirst!
Thanks everybody - we will def try loosening the tension trps, as we didn't do this at the time. I spose it's just trial and error - we will learn as we go along. I just want to say what a fab site this as - as new campers, the tips and advice given about all sorts of things have certainly helped us. Keep up the good work - you never know, I may be wll placed to give some of my own tips soon!!l
