Hello I'm thinking of buying the Vango Vail 700.It seems to be the ideal tent for me.

I've heard that there have been a few problems with them (leaking).

Has anybody had any problems with them?

I would appreciate good or bad views!!!!

We have had to return our VAIL 700 to the shop.

We had the following problems:

1) Ground sheet re-enforced patch were bedrooms clip onto - weak are allowing water to bubble in.

2) Both side doors leaked from zip area at top of the door.

3) Main seam in living area started to peel back. 

4) Really poor stitching around the windows.

Ok that were my bad points; now we must have got a bad one.  According to our store they have had 25% of all 2007 VANGO's returned to them this year. 

The tent is great itself, if you get a good one (or as it should be) just make sure you check it out first and I would suggest getting the hose on it being a must.

I was gutted taking the VAIL back as it was such a great unit, with spot on living space. 

Unfortunately I must admit though after having a number of Vango's I have been put of them big time now. 

The pain thing is that I haven't yet found anything to replace the Vail as the use of space was that good.

We had to return our Brekenridge for almost identical probs above. Our dealer offered a refund or exchange without question, which makes me wonder if there is a known problem with all the 2007 Vango's. The problem with the stitching is a definate design fault in my opinion.....not acceptable on a £400 tent or from a company like Vango who's reputation seems to be on a downward spiral !!
