I am new to camping and am looking for a tent to use for weekends and if it all goes OK weeks away. I have looked at loads of tents over the past few weeks and cannot believe the choice available but have managed to filter it down into two models and was looking for some advice.
The first is the 'Vango Diablo 600'. I have found it on the gooutdoors website for £197 which looks to be a very good price and would probably be my first choice. However I have read some posts saying that it is difficult to put up and there may be problems with the size of the tent at some sites. Is it really that difficult to erect or is it just getting the knack of doing it - the local camp shop said it would take about 25 mins with a bit of practice.
The second choice, mainly on the pitch size issues, is a tunnel tent, Khyam Ontario 6, which is a bit cheaper but gives you the options of changing the inside configurations. The Khyam book says it takes 25 minutes to erect, but like the idea of the porch on the Diablo.
Any views on the above tents, plus any other recommendations, would be much appreciated.
