There are two things that will kill your tent, one is damp the other is mice!!
Make sure your tent is properly dry before you pack it away. We tend to keep ours inside the house, loosely folded for a couple of days to make sure its really dry. Then roll it up into its bag and keep it somewhere dry. We keep our nylon tents in the garage but the canvas tents stay in the house. Lofts, airing cupboards, under beds and on top of wardrobes are good homes inside the house.
If you keep it inside the house then hopefully its rodent proof, if you plan to keep it in a garage or a shed make sure its not getting chewed by anything!
Deffo can't stress on how important it is to make sure it is DRY and kept in a dry place. Otherwise it will look ugly next season when you open it and smell dreadfull
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
