my mum and dad recently brought the sun valley 6 from yeomans.ive got to say that its a great tent.i helped mum to pitch it and we found it really easy to pitch.30 minutes it took us,which i think is good.really easy to take down and pack away too.30 minutes again
theres loads of space and head room, great tent, bargain price, enjoy!
Brilliant tent, very quick to put up, loads of light and ventilation and a good size without being too big. Just be aware of condensation gathering in small pools under the bedroom pod. Don't worry if the front awning area seems a bit small, you can stretch a matching outwell or vango wind break over it to make a big sun and rain canopy.

Thats for that tip about the condensation Martin, not had a tent with a SIG before. We had been using an Outwell Colarado 5.Just needed a bit more room and liked the windows better. We have an outwell windbreak, but not sure what you meant by using it as a canopy. The sv6 has a pull out canopy/front door?

Hi SVSue
Although the SV6 does have its awning it is very easy for rain to get in at the sides and the shallowness of the porch does not offer too much side protection (the SV8 has a good deep porch area but in our opinion is far too big a tent for our needs). We found that by putting our wind break over the top of the porch and awning, attaching two poles to each end through the little elasticated loops, then pegging each pole down at a slanting angle to allow rain run-off, we had a good sized canopy allowing us to sit and eat outside in most weather conditions (we're talking summer storms in the central france by the way, not hurricane rain storms in UK 2007 !). Anyway, apart from the porch issue it's still an excellent tent and you got a very good deal. Outwell have a reputation for leaks etc. but our 2007 sv6 has been absolutely fine.
yes they withdrew it last Thurs, I ordered in the morning(with the offer!) and when I rang up in the afternoon to add something to the order they said I wouldnt get the tent and other bits til the following Weds as they had ran out of carpets and footprints at the warehouse and were having to recall them from their shops so took the offer off. All came this week, carpet and footprint look good and the tent fingers crossed will be okMartinandzoe, do you have a pic of the windbreak insitu? We intend to use porch as somewhere / for storage to dump shoes/ crates etc and if tent dosent leak will order side canopy as well

Hi ,Sue34,I found the link for the free carpet and groundsheet via goole, but as you say there is no mention on their website.I phoned them and was told they had the tent and groundsheet but the only carpet they had was been used in a demo sunvalley 6 at worksop garden centre. We phoned worksop direct and was told the carpet had only been down 3 days so as we only live in sheffield went and got the whole package there. The carpet was as brand new.

We where told by the dealer that there was no side canopy for the SV6 and that there where no plans to bring one out for 2008. We had been toying with the idea of getting the Coleman universal canopy but when I tried to get hold of one it was pretty impossible (last july - not surprising really). Our holiday snaps are due back tomorrow - I'll see if there's a photo of the sunwindbreakcanopy contraption.
Had a trial run with the SV6 today on our neighbours lawn.Took just over 25 mins to put up,not bad for a first attempt. The quality is excellent. Not had the rain test yet though. If it is as watertight as our Outwell Colarado 5 I shall be well pleased.Love the windows and the univerasl inner. We will use it as one large inner rather than two.(there is only two of us and one 12yr old springer spaniel !!)
just typical, really easy to pitch, up in 20 mins, a doddle then we started to peg out porch and the seam ripped while pegging out. Now has an 8 inch rip directly along the seam. Very disappoined but hopefully yeomans will just do a straight swap.
