from my experience this summer the canopy is not a problem in windy weather.
its weakness is where it fits to the tent. it will "pop" off the front pole. vango were expecting a little to much from the elastic gripping the pole area in my opinion. they do say it is only a "sun canopy" though.
we modified ours by carefully cutting the elastic, without damaging the material, and pulled it further over the front of the tent. we also added an extra guy rope to where it meets the tent.
it now sits back about 8 - 12" and is just the ticket.
play about with it and see what works best for you.
they are brill though.

Hi, Tilly-tiger, no we do not have a canopy but i am going to get one for next summer, and yes the sleeping pobs are a very big size. you can have all three up, are if you do not need them all you just put up what you want. from tracey

Hi Tracey, I am interested to see how your Breckenridge has faired in bad weather. There have been a few threads about leaking Breckenridges but as a Monty 6 owner I think the B600 really ticks all the boxes for us being a family of 5 where the Monty falls a little short in sleeping area.

Hi, Nigel, we were out in our tent about 3 weeks ago, went up to keswick, one night we have very bad rain and strong winds, it was that bad we get up alot in the night to see how the tent was doing. I must say that the tent was brill. No leaking and it stayed up, not like 2 of the tent that did not stand up to the very high winds. This was the first time in this tent and like you i had heard about the leaking B600, but i must say ours did very well and it is one ace tent. Tracey
