I've been a member for a while now but think i've found my dream tent. Ive tried single skin walkers tents, small light domes and tunnels, cabannon frame and pyramid. This has to be the daddy of all tents. Or is it just me??
Imagine sitting around wood burner when it turns a bit chilly at night, looking out at the stars. Hot water on tap with water tank side of stove. Ahh! :)
Dont know wat the fuss is about. This is a standard Scouting Mess tent and we already have one with a small smokeless burner. Ok ours has been adapted by one of our parents who happens to make MOD tents but it can be done.

There you go - now you can get your tent and even have it made as a "bespoke" item in the UK and probably for a much more sensible price - What could be better?
Ray Mears got quite keen on Teepees with fire boxes in them at one stage. They're quite a popular item in Scandinavia but then they tend to have more available timber around. There's not too much spare timber on the average UK campsite

Im still holding on to my dream. Just look at the stove. It has a water tank attachment! Taunton Leisure dont seem to do the tentipi stoves which is a big shame.

Amazing prices aren't they - - I've yet to see anyone using one in this Country
Just remembered - There a Tipi and a Yurt at the Sustainability Centre and you can rent them out. I can't see the Centre paying out that sort of money though. They haven't even got enough to mend their lawnmower
Hi
The only problem with the fire, you would not be allowed to use it on sites in the UK. But if you check out the Relum range of tents they have a few similar. Some you can use a stove in as well. Just Google Relum tents and check Jacksons site, there is two types of bell tents on there.
Regards
Rex.
