Hi folks,

Just bought a Wynnster Cygnus 6 for £100 BNIB     and the colour is sage/green haze. is this the 2007 model? as the 2006 seems to be available in Cendre/Sagebrush/Eucalyptus.

Are there any other differences between the two models? exhaustive googling only seems to be the colour.

Any help welcome.

Thanks.

If it's sage / green haze it's a 2007  here .  Looks like you got a good deal.  If you compare the details of that one on the wynnster website with the details of the other you found you should be able to see any other differences.

As for a footprint groundsheet, get some cheap tarps roughly the right size, lay them out beforehand and fold the excess under the SIG to protect it.

Thanks for that Kate, i was going to duct tape some tarps together if i couldn't find a footprint.

Just confirmed with Wynnster that it is the 2007 model so i'm over the moon about that deal, can't wait for spring to get back out under canvas.

I've e-mailed wynnster a few times and always had a good response, if you asked them your footprint query, they may be able to help you out, let you know where / how much one that would fit under or if youre even luckier they may find you one, they found me a roller holdall (albeit a bit too small but it helps) when I suggested it was annoying that the bag that came with my Antares 13 didn't have any wheels, compared to the sturdy roller holdall with my old satellite 12.

good idea again Kate, i like the cut of your gib, instead of complaining you "suggest something is annoying".

Thanks again for your help

Yes, that's it make a good suggestion for an improvement rather than a complaint, and don't forget to say how delighted you are with it you've just got one idea for making it even better for next season!

I contacted Wynnster earlier in the year about footprints. They are going to manufacture footprints for most of their range as from 2008.
