I posted details, earlier this year, of the two pin prick holes in the canvas of our Biscaya vis a vis, luckily one is on a seam and one is on the sun canopy, and not actually on the main tent canvas. Anyway, complained in July to the supplier who said they would collect it for inspection, but thought it was probably 'pilot holes' for positioning of windows and canopy straps. They said we could use it for the summer and then they would collect.
To cut a long story short, we told the supplier they could collect it straight away, as we were taking our Cabanon Espace to France for a long trip in the summer, but they didn't arrange collection. We said we would be prepared just to have a guarantee from Cabanon, just so that if things do ever go wrong with these two pilot holes things are covered under warranty, but Cabanon were not prepared to do that without seeing it first.
They have told us they will have to replace the panels, if they confirm the tent is faulty, but I wouldn't accept a repair on a tent of this cost which was supplied with faults. This isn't something which has occurred with use, after all, but something which was there when it left the factory.
This is our second Biscaya, our first had a faulty groundsheet zip, a window toggle came off the first time we used it and there was a tiny flaw in the canvas. That was from a different supplier, though, who said he would repair or refund but not replace, so we went for the refund. What is happening to Cabanon quality control with Biscayas?
Summer is over and we still have the Biscaya vis a vis, which has only been used once to date. We should really be chasing the supplier, I know, but have too many things going on at home at the mo to be worrying about tents, and they did say they would contact us, after all.
We really like the tent, so will maybe just have to keep our fingers crossed that the holes are never problematic........
