Hi, Can anyone tell me what a rising groundsheet is? We have a Lokon Vario 5 tent which we are more than impressed with but we check each year to see whether they have made any changes. This year they have included in the specifications list "Rising groundsheet". Completely flumoxed, so thought one of you clever people might know what it is.

I think it means that it's detachable but comes up the side a bit inside the tent and attaches there (like a bathtub) to keep some draughts/creepy crawlies out. Understand? Or have I confused you even more?

Hi Flutterbye, Makes sense.Must admit that would be useful, as the storm flaps do blow about a bit. We solved the problem last year by adding clip on eyelets and pegging it down (made it much more cosy).

Hi Vickki, by "storm flaps" do you mean the mudwalls around the bottom of the tent? If you do then on my Khyam tent I always have them inside the tent and lay the groundsheet on top. Just as good as a SIG or ZIG, but no problems washing the ground sheet when it's needed!
