Dear all,

Any suggestions very gratefully received from those far more experienced!  We think we're after a 6 man dome, 2 bed rooms, sewn in g. sheet, outerfirst pitch seems to be the ideal.  Was keen on Vango's Diablo 600 but put off by inner first.  Any advice on outer first similars to Diablo?  Will be used fiarly infrequently for low level (young family) weekend type trips.

Thanks so much in advance,

Mike

HI,

Not experienced at all, only camped twice, once in a small frame tent & the second time in a Vango Oregon 800.  Howver I can reccommmend the Oregon  (or for a 2008 model theres the Albany and Yukon - both look good) Although there were only 3 of us in the tent we certainly managed to make good use of the space. It suits us because hopefully our older children (20 & 18) will occasionally come with us but its not too big for us if we only take our youngest. It is very quick & easy to put up especially if you've had a few trial runs in the garden. I've looked at the pitching video for the diablo and I'm glad we've got the oregon!  Only down side might be the lack of porch but for infrequent campers like us its not a problem

We've got the Royal Biarritz 6 which is the same design as the Diablo and it's hard work! We've had the Oregon 800 which was much easier and we used a coleman classic awning to give us cover over the doorway and outdoor living space(see profile).

Vango Orchy 600 seems to fit the bill.

The Vango Killington is the same design as the Diablo but is outer first or pitch all in one. There were issues last year with this model and they were recalled but Vango have them on their site and there are a few retailers advertising the 2008 model.
