The monthly publication called Camping magazine covers tents etc.
I think that the question was decent camping magazines. "Camping" is the one and only magazine available to tenters and towed tenters, however, although I regularly buy this publication, I can't help feeling that us "proper" campers are being a little short changed. It is a very thin and weasly production that seems to mainly be written by Francofiles ( just look at all the features about French campsites!), with only a couple of half hearted (and short) tent reviews. Compare it to the miriad of caravan and motorhome magazines, which are thick, mouth drooling glossies full of proper product tests, detailed campsite reports and a host of good quality advice.
Come on Camping Magazine, give us what we really want, and that is a decent magazine for us under canvas (or Nylon) campers!

Thank you my point exactly.
The only camping mags I have seen have more adverts in than decent articles.
I'm a tent camper myself and I know what we are on about. But I wonder what we expect to see in a tent mag. Is there enough to fill kore than a couple of issues a year. There isn't THAT much variety in tents these days. For my interest I would like to see a comparison between plastic and polycotton as a material. A few articles on the new tents etc. One a year on new cookers etc.
I just don't think there is enough stuff for 12 issues a year.
What do others think?
Alan
I thought that when I got the last mag. I've been getting it since it first came out, and there have been a few issues that haven't had much in them. A couple of months ago they said they were bringing out 12 issues per year instead of only 10, and the last mag was thinner than previous issues - it remains to be seen if the content will improve.
