Well I've tried several and looked round several tents now! :-(

To be honest find that the tunnels have much more useable space due to the straight sides!

And hoping will be easier to pitch as just bought one, as it has no cross over poles!

Hiya, just found this site. I have a Gelert 2-3 man tunnel, can't remember which one but looking to get the lokon vario 6 as this year I'm taking my niece and nephews away with me. Just wondered if I'll be able to put it up on my own, kids bit small. I have no problem with my little tunnel but wonder if the bigger one will be much more difficult. Thanks.

We started camping as a family for the first time last year.  2 adults and 2 kids (2 and 3)  After spendign a long time looking at different tents we settled on the Bear Lake 6 (Tunnel) as soon as we saw it we knew that it was the perfect tent for us as it still gives us a bit of family expanibility if we have another little ankle biter at some point.  110% if you can afford it go for polycotton its so quiet and warm.  Although Outwell are releasing a Wolf Lake 5 if you want something slightly smaller.

Downsides are that it can be a little heavy to put up and therefore really takes 2 people to erect.

Hope this helps

We've got both and Ive got to say our Gelert Utah is the tent we use all the time. Its a tunnel tent and although its bulkier to transport, there is a lot more living space inside, Our other tent is a 3 pod suncamp dome and its ok, but nowhere near as roomy as the gelert (or draughtproof either due to the SIG on the Gelert)

Hey, Johiler70: You are a little premature with that photo of Pride Park and the message at the bottom left - surely you should put it up in August?

Our Gelert Quebec is a lovely tent thats fairly easy to put up. It stood up to the poor weather last year and is nice and warm with a SIG. Retails around £150.
