Hi sorry to post you directly via the boards hope you don't mind.  I noticed via your profile you have the Ooutwell Colarado 5.  We're thinking of getting the 2008 model (with steel and fiberglass poles).  We have 3 kids so 5 of us in total.  This would be our first family tent!  Is it easy to put up and is there suffiend internal space for those rainy days!  Any advice helpful.  Difficult for us to go and view one as we live abroad and we want to buy now and use in Summer when we are back in UK for our holiday!

Cheers

Sarah

Hi I know i am not Alan lol, but we bought an outwell colorado last year, it is a very roomy tent, however i feel the bedrooms might be a bit of a squeeze, depends what type of beds you are using, as the 3 berth room fits in a double with a tiny bit of space at the side. the smaller room would maybe just about fit in a double.

you may be better considering the 7 berth.

hope this helps. it is a nice tent though, we love the windows and it seems very airy, which is good.

Hi
There are just the two of us. We sleep in the 3 inner (monster Coleman matress fill it) and use the 2 inner for clothes, bags, boxes etc. Loads of space in the living bit for table and chairs etc, and a decent height all round. To be honest I might put two little ones in the two-er, but then what happens to all the junk (we go away for 2-3 weeks at a time.)
But the design is fabbo, easy to put up and very, very stable - always gets lots of comments on campsites.
I'm with Linda here. Go for a 7 berth tent - I think there may be a Colorado 7 in 2008.

Hi Linda/Alan

Thanks for your advice.  I think i was bening at bit optomistic that 5 of us would fit in the tent!  I checked out the 7 man version but the extra room looks like it in the main space and not at the end of the tent.  Hey ho back to the drawing board.  The Gelert Lokon Vario tunnel tent has been suggested so I'll have a look at that.

Cheers

Sarah
