Hi,

We have had a Sunncamp XP 20 for 2 seasons and have been happy with it (it stood up to some very strong winds last summer).

Our biggest problem was the heat build up during the day and the cold at night.

However, unfortunately due to bad storage over the winter it looks like we will need to replace it.

Does any one know what is available to buy at the moment the same size as the XP 20?

We are a very large family (11 in total) so we really do need the space.

Hi. Thanks for the welcome and reply.

Budget is not necersarily a problem. The important thing is, we need lots of space. The thing we really liked about the XP 20 was the massive porch area!

I dont know what is the best structure to go for. The old tent seemed to stand well and stood up to some really bad winds last summer.

I was a bit worried that in such a large tent the fibre glass poles might split so maybe something a bit stronger might be a good idea.

The other consideration is how long it takes to put the tent up. The old one took us around 45 minutes (but then another 3 hours to get everything setup). We have a high 17 seater minibus and the kids throw everything into the back!

Hi,

How about a Wynnster Antares 12(2007) http://www.tents-direct.co.uk/show_tent.php?productid=1116

 or Aztec Falcon 12. http://aztecoutdoor.co.uk/tents/leisure/falcon/falcon12.htm

They look similar in design and appear to have 5 bedrooms.

Outwell Montana 12 looks good too.

Teresa

We have a montana 12 and I would say that if you got one you would NEED either a seperate utility tent or a vermont side extension that apparantly fits. Without this you would have no room to cook as you would probably need the inside space to live in.

I'm surprised you didn't get any more replies.  Have you chosen anything yet?
