Hi
I've seen these on websites as new for 2008.
Has anybody bought one?
Is there one on display in the North West?

Thanks

No I haven't. Fancy one myself and went to the yeomans show at Calver.

They had the Bear 6 2008 with the zip thru rooms, mines the 2007 but no side extension.

Also had the Norfolk Lake and the Wolk Lake (Wider but a little shorter)

I too would like to know more about the 'zip through rooms', I thought there were no major changes to the BL and NL this year?

At the show I looked at the new tents as mine is the 07 model.

The new model and the Wolf Lake both had zip thru rooms. In the BL this meant that the two rooms at the back the 4man and the 2 man could be unzipped so that it was one room. In the Wolf I would say that the rooms could be one big room, possibly usefull if you want to be in the same room as young children.

Also between the rooms there was a ladder style storage pockets device (if you know what mean) this could be used to store low weight essentials.

In additon instead of the hooks or eyelets at the top of the inners there was a strap that was adjustable to tighten should this be required, again a small but potentially usefule addition, this will explain why the Bear has been put up in price slightly.

I wouldn't want to change mine but at the same time it would be useful addition.

Hope this helps.

Also didn't really look closely in the NL but would have thought taht would have been the same.

I am sure that I will be passing the show again and will pop in as I'm sad like that!

I bought a bearlake side extension this year to add to our bearlake 6 2007 model.
It was a bit tricky to erect - as it goes over the top of tent and is anchored on the other side, this said, it made a superb cooking area and is a useful addition to have particularly in wet weather.
