Would love to hear how you get on McSpud, Particularly regarding any condensation problems. It seems like a good idea as the inner tent has large mesh panels in the roof to allow warm air to escape which in theory should keep condensation down, add to this that both doors have a full mesh option, there should be good ventilation and bug barrier. I am looking at the Twister 4. As the spec does not make it clear if both Fly and inner tent are both coated to 3000mmHH, I checked with Gelert, who confirmed they were. This was a concern I had due to the design of the fly not covering the tent walls. Re packing away, I notice that even Gelert's video show two people putting the tent back in the bag as it looks there is a real knack to it.
On another post, it was mentioned that some amount of strength and dexterity was required to bend the poles sufficiently enough to roll it into the bag and the lady could not do it. I'm hoping the smaller size of the Twister 4 will make this easier. Really impressed with the feeling of space and airiness in the 4. As with all tents, it's never a 4 berth...a cosy 3 berth maybe, but great for two with good space for kit due to the hexagonal footprint.
The Twister 4 is definetely the roomiest smaller pop up design around at the moment...bigger than the Outwells, the Quechuas and Gelert smaller pop ups and now it's confirmed that inner and fly are both 3000mmHH, it seems to me that that gives double protection in real heavy rain. The seam sealing will be the next important thing...but this can only be tested once out in the rain!
