We have ordered a carpet when we were at the NEC. I was suprised to see that they didn't actually attach to anything inside the tent. The ones on display at the NEC were not lying flat and infact looked quite scruffy. I told myself this was because of the amount of feet constantly going in and out. Do they stay in place as I think the crumpled look will annoy me big time!!

hi there i wouldnt worry too much on the carpet we have the vermont xl and it did move slightly on one of our HILLY pitches lol but no so much on the flat pitch .we also found that with the few item lying on the carpet like chairs and kids stuff that you gather up movment wasnt an issue, its a great addition to the tent and well worth it altho we started a golden rule NO shoes lol we used the porch area to remove shoes and i can say after 3 outtings last year each lasting a week aith 4 kids abuse spills and whot not it was easily kept and made the tent that llittle more comfy in the eveningswe found that if there is a spill just to dab and not rub and it cleaned off easy ,i hope this helps a little but i think the last thing you will worry about will be a crumpled edge ,have fun and happy camping
we were glad to recieve the carpet for our vermont l this morning, and have noticed that it has a hole with a drawstring in it .do any of you carpet owners know what this is for. many thanks for you anticipated replies
If you look at your wardrobe you will see it attaches to the SIG via a clip in the living area (look at the right hand side from the living area) the idea is that you unlcip this, place the carpet under the wardrobe, then clip the wardrobe back to the SIG again through the hole and pull the drawstring tight. I hope this helps? Personally speaking we have removed the wardrobe altogether as it took up too much living space.
