HI i'm in need of a little help.

Taking our Indiana 8 out for a week in May for the first time (it's been sitting indoors for over a year as we didn't manage to get away last year!) . I'm a little worried as the site we are going to requires and breathable groundsheet. Do I buy a best fit one and put it down between the ground and the bath tub ground sheet? or is it instead of the groundsheet?

Also given that it's been a year and they have since discontinued the model, does anyone have a download of the 'How to put it up (!!!)' footage? I've put up many different tents in my time, so i'm sure Ii could work it out, but I would like the reassurance of seeing the video again.

Can't believe they have nothing on the Outwell site!

Please help.

Thanks Catherine

Hi Catherine,

We have the indy 8 and dont have a problem putting it up...Just follow the same instructions that you would find for any of the outwell tunnel tents.

Make sure you put it in place, feed one of the poles through the back, lift and then peg down. move on to the next one, do the same, keeping it taut. We find it easier doing one at a time, rather than trying to lift a whole tent at once.

Regarding the breathable groundsheet, I have seen posts on here about these and it appears to be only for caravan awnings. Have you checked with the camp site or have you just seen it online? I think it would be hard for a camp site to enforce breathable groundsheets for EVERY tent.

Good luck

Emma

Thanks Emma,

It said in the brochure that they prefer them to be used and it was the tent section. I'm just dithering about if they really are worth the money!

Glad to hear the tent is easy. We previuosly had a sunncamp tent and how you described is just how that went up.

Cheers

Catherine

Hi Catherine

If you need practice we could always take the tent up the common for a trial run!

Sure that would amuse the locals, not to mention confuse the horses....lol
