Has anyone seen or bought a Sprayway Valley 8? What is this make like compared to Outwell?  We have narrowed our tent choice down to this one, the vermont Xl or the Norfolk lake?  We live in Cheshire and have yet to see these tents for real.  We need three bedrooms and like the idea of a front porch area.  Anybody know where we can see these tents?  Somebody suggested Trentham Gardens near Stoke but then somebody else said they don't display tents. Any pictures of these tents to compare would also be appreciated.

Hi San321, we have just bought the valley 6. We had decided on the outwell vermont L but after seeing it in the flesh, it wasn't for us. The porch on the vermont is brill and for me was the biggest attraction. The porch on the sprawway is great but you also have the side porch if you need to keep the front closed and the whole tent feels so cosy being fully enclosed. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't come across any teething problems though lol.

We went here last week to see this tent, it is fantastic quality, and absolutely huge, if we were looking to buy a new tent this would definitely be the one, its brilliant.

Many thanks for the replies. Very helpful.  I'll get up to Warrington and see it. Is there an inner tent for the whole living area rather than just for the bedrooms?  My Diablo is like that and it makes it very cosy on cooler days.  We just find the Diablo hard to put up.  We always have problems with the tension on the doors and the zips won't shut.  We hear that tunnel tents are far easier to errect.  Well at least we hope so.  How big is the porch area on the valley 8?  Big enough to put table and chairs or just big enough to take off shoes and coats?  Very hard to tell on the net.  Thanks again.

The whole of the living area and bedrooms are one large inner tent and clip onto the bottom of the ring and pin system from the inside and is hung from at the roof pole areas via toggles and eyelets.  It's a large porch but can't now remember if it would accomodate table and chairs but definitely would take chairs.

Yes I think camperpete is right, as I remember you may just get some chairs in the porch but doubt the table as well.

Hi Pete. The Sprayway Valley 4 looks like a good tent  and its always interesting to a tent that tries to do something different - but would having to hang the inner tent from the roof poles be a problem for a short person? I'm guessing you couldn't do this until after the tent was fully up. MT

Hi MT,

It believe the Sprayway Valley 4 is 220cm at it's highest point which I could manage (I'm 5' 11") but Tina's only 5' so did struggle to stretch so far BUT I did struggled with the Sprayway Valley 6 at 240cm at it's highest point (suppose it may also depend on whether you're on a slight slope )

CamperPete,

Thanks for the info.  Really helpful.  There isn't enough detail on the adverts to answer my questions.  Sounds a great tent.  Does anyone know how easy it is to pitch?

Hi, we have seen the valley 8 in outdoor world (infact purchased the valley 6 polycotton), and yes it is a fantastic huge beast, if you have the room and the man power to get the thing erected then I would recommend it. We pitched our valley 6 last month and it is a quality item, but very big and heavy.

Good luck, whatever your decision.

I notice clarelmiller, you are going to IXIA in May, whereabouts are you staying, we went here about 3 years ago and stayed in the Blue Bay Hotel, had a great holiday.
