We got a cheap package to see if the kids would enjoy camping & they loved it so this year we are looking to get a proper tent.

Ideally we would like a 6 man tent with 3 bedrooms next to or close to each other, SIG & canapy at front, we like the Vango Amazon 600 but it doesn't have a SIG.  Can anyone recommend any tents that suit our requirements?  Much appreciated as we are getting very confused now

We are seriously considering buying one and am as sure as i can be it has a SIG.........

Dudkat would you mind telling me what colour it was as according to vango it is sage?????????

It looks white to me but i do have an eye disorder and the 800 version seemed fairly blue.........

I haven't seen one up yet just on the interweb.........

Thanks, I'll have to investigate as the Amazon we saw at the weekend didn't have a SIG.  Would be great if they do as we did like the size & layout of it but we're all cowards when it comes to bugs so really would like a SIG.

           Vango amazon 600 and 800 definately have the SIG, The old version of the Amazon was called VAIL in 2006 it was launched with no SIG in 2007 Vango realised the error of there ways and fitted the groundsheet on and as it has followed onto the Amazon it still has the SIG.

Sorry for the history lesson, only thing to mention would be that whilst it is fitted alround the tent at the door ways the groundsheet is allowed to fold down so that you dont trip over it, however having that function means that the groundsheet doesnt seal at the doorway completely. ( dont know if your trying to keep children or dogs inside or not)

We now quite like the look of the Royal Bordeaux 6. We have seen one on display in green, it's a good size & layout.  Have found it on a couple of websites now pictured in blue but the description says green , it also now comes with side panels for the canopy .  I've e-mailed a couple of suppliers to ask a few questions but no one seems to reply, does anyone know of a Royal stockist who's likely to reply?

Hi, I e-mailed www.tentsandcamping.co.uk  about the royal bordeaux 6 about a week ago asking if they had it in green .The first reply said only in blue , then I asked could it be ordered in green and they got back and told me they did have them in green.

So a bit of confusion at first but they were v. quick replying.Not sure I'm going to order it yet though, am being very tempted by the Bear Lake 6 -have to see how the finanaces go!

Well, I eventually got a reply from www.tentsandcamping.co.uk and was told it's not available in blue!

So I e-mailed a couple of other companies & only one replied, this being www.worldofcamping.co.uk they replied straight away with a good price for the package I wanted, so I ordered it & it arrived (in blue) a week later.  Now I'm just waiting for the time & weather to test our new tent out.
