Can anyone confirm what colour the roof of the Wolf Lake 5 is? Some pictures on the Outwell site show it as green and some show it as grey! On the video it is grey and also in some photo's on the web, but we saw a WL7 at the Yeomans Nottingham show the other week and I could have sworn it was green!!! Does anyone have a definitive answer?

Cheers 2mnn, I thought so! It's weird though isn't it, they have obviously made some with grey roofs, check out the piccies at the bottom of this page!

I guess they must have been pre-production models, and the feedback they got was that continuing the colour of the tent up to the roof would be better! I think I prefer the green!

Yep, we've decided that the Norfolk Lake is a tad too big for the two of us!!! I was completely sold on the Bear Lake 4 (it being a bit of a looker!), but have now taken a shine to the Wolf Lake 5! I prefer the bigger drop in weight we would get with the BL4, but like the enclosed porch on the WL5. I haven't seen a WL5 in the flesh and not sure I like the fact that it has 10cm more headroom than the NL - might feel a bit cavernous?...

Hi - I have a Wolf Lake 5, answer to your first question is that it is GREEN.

We haven't been away in the tent yet but I've put it up in the garden, it took me about an hour to do that on my own, my guess is that you could do it in 20 minutes with experience and an assistant.

There are two of of us using the tent and it is a useful size, no crouching, no head banging etc and acres of space for damp days to eat inside at a table. I was a bit concerned at the size and weight of the tent even though I have a 4x4 I did think about putting on the roof but it was too heavy to lift that high (bad back & all) so I have bought a Bak Rak - a great piece of kit. Also ordered a couple of waterproof bags from someone in Wigan that can make them to any size you want.

Have fun in your WL5 - I know that we will -

Hi, I wouldn't worry too much about the wolf lake drop down porch. I have both the bearlake 6 porch and a full drop down porch. When it rains there's little difference with both porches and a much smaller area to sit to avoid getting wet with both as rain hardly ever falls vertically, but at an angle.

Sq footage the wolf lake is not as good value as the bearlake. The wolflake 5 is fine, but the 7 is massive and i can imagine a few sites wanting more money to pitch it, that's if they have large enough pitches in the first place.

hi

can antbody help me urgently. i,m stuck between the bear lake 6 or the wolf lake 5. its for me and the wife and a 2 year old and a dog.i also want it for when the lads go on their own usually 3 adults. pitching and weight is not really an issue.

basically somewhere we can chill and watch films when the weather is crap. cooking as well. my main concern is getting muddy shoes in the living area are both porches sufficient to get ya shoes off when its rainig.i thought about buying a windbreak to put at the front and sort of make an enclosed area just for a bit more protection.i suppose i could buy a side extension but i,mnot impressed by the lenght of these (120cm) doesn,t seem to offer 2 much protection.

Cotty, See previous post. It's very much personal choice. My preference was Bearlake as better value per sq ft.

No need to pay the extra from Yeomans! I asked yesterday about price matching another company and they said no problem, just bring in a print out of the lower price! They did say they couldn't do it on Sundays though, as it requires authorisation from head office!

It's always worth checking if Go Outdoors stock the tent you want too! They currently sell the BL6 at £599.99 but offer to beat any lower price by 10%. JR Leisure sell the BL6 for £589.99, so with a print out Go Outdoors would sell you this tent for £531!!! I have taken advantage of their price promise in the past, and it is really easy with no quibbles!

It's just a pity they don't stock the BL4!!!
