HI, I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A COLEMAN CEDAR CREEK TENT AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PITCH IT.

I AM A COMPLETE NOVICE TO CAMPING AND SO HAVE NEVER PUT A TENT UP BEFORE.

YESTERDAY MY HUSBAND AND I TOOK IT TO A FIELD AND TRIED TO PITCH IT. WE TRIED TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BUT THEY DIDNT MAKE ANY SENSE. DESPITE NEARLY KILLING EACH OTHER WE STILL COULDN'T PUT THE TENT UP.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE GIVE ME STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PITCH THIS TENT.

Phoenix Lady, did you have any trouble getting the tension right on the tent? i put my cedar creek tent up this morning, but after i put the steel uprights in, there seems to be too much material one side - but not enough the other. this made it really difficult to get centred and put the clips on the uprights without breaking them.

i did only give it a quick trial run, as i bought it yesterday - but even so it looks like it may be a problem.

I have put up many tents over the years, and this is often a comon problem with most of them - but this is probobly the worst case i have seen of it.

If anybody has any ideas on this i would greatly appriciate hearing them.

Having said all of this, it does look a great tent, and it is a really easy tent to put away too.

Hi, I tried to put up my tent again today.

Thankfully we managed to get it up this time thanks to the advice from phoenix lady, but I found the same problem with the tension as leema 73. There seemed to much tension on one side so we couldn't put the poles and pegs in down one side correctly. It made the tent look like it was floating.

The other side of the tent looked perfect.

I did not know how to release this tension as there seemed nowhere to slacken the canvas. Can anyone please help?

when pegging the tent do the pegs go into the inner or outer holes on the eyelets?

I also noticed 2 holes in the centre of the tent what are these for, is it electric hook up?

Please help as we were hoping to go off this weekend.
