After our families first outing in are new Aspen, which ended in disaster as it leaked from the groundsheet drips from the outer and a small tear in the pourch Vango have upgraded us to a Zambezi was just wondering if anyone has got one and what they think about it as we have not seen one as yet.

We had been looking at the Aspen last year but finally purchased an Outwell Vermont XL a couple of months ago....BUT....prior to purchasing we had been talking to the Vango rep at an exhibition and the most notable difference between the Zambezi and the Aspen was that the Zambezi was fly first pitching and hence prevented the risk of a soaking before even getting the tent up.

Maybe someone else may have further first hand experience to comment on as mine is limited.

We are going to buy our first tent and like Zambezi as it has Fly sheet first but only found one review which was not positive, anyone else have knowledge on this one?

So many mixed reports about the same tents!! – it seems like consistency is the key issue with manufacturer’s, as far as quality is concerned.

I have just bought and pitched an 2007 model Aspen 700dlx which over a 48 hr period was subjected to high winds, extremely heavy rain, puddling underneath the tent with no leaks or problems at all. On the same site was a 500dlx which looked wet, discoloration and patches where water had penetrated. My neighbour with years camping experience had a new Zambezi which didn’t like the wind and was leaking. Buying a tent can be confusing ! 

A friend has just purchased a Zambezi 700dlx, his first tent, he's not had it up yet but he's planning on going off this weekend ...

i really do hope everything is ok for him as he's gone from being a caravaner to a tenter ...

My friend saw the 700dlx at Go Outdoors at Wakefield for £249.99, when he went to the assistant they were sold out :(

So went to Outdoor World in Huddersfield where the had them in stock at £379, they have a price match policy so he mentioned the price at Go Outdoors, so the girl rang them to confirm this price, and obviously they did confirm the price so they let him have it at £249 ...
