We have owned a Vango colorado 600 (2007).Great tent and good sized 4 berth inner but the 2 bed inner at other end is next to useless,to be honest it would be better for one or storage.Other than that its a very good tent.Hope this helps

I've got one of the now discontinued 2004 Vango Colorado 1200dlxs. Great tent, tons of space, excellent quality and easy to pitch. (Though like any other big tent, time consuming.)

If you like the general feel of the Colorado what I'd be looking for is the discontinued 2005 Colorado 800dlx. This had two 4-berth pods, a front porch tunnel and a square profile back door that poled out to make what is possibly the only kitchen area I'd be prepared to use in any synthetic tent. It was a fabulous design and they're still out there, in various reduced stocks in camping shops. It kind of fell between two stools though as not quite flexible for sleeping arrangements fot a family, but two big for a couple. But if you wanted the extra space for dogs then this might be just the thing. The four-man pods are plenty big enough to put a double airbed down the centre and have luggage and dressing space on each side.

Or you could go for one of the current Colorado 800dlx, just to get one 4-berth room for you, one two-berth for the dogs and a bedroom for storage?
