Hi,

Went camping at the weekend and was admiring a fellow camper's Wynnster Mallard 4. Having looked around the 'net I can see it is an old model and I can't find anywhere that still has it in stock. Does anybody know of anywhere or failing that which tent is of a similar size and layout?

I've been looking at the Coleman Columbus 4 and the Gelert Stratus 4DLX but I'm relatively new to this camping lark and I'm finding it hard to gage the size and quality of the products. It's just me but I want some room - I'm sick of my 2 man tent - time to upgrade!

I'm not sure if it is in stock here have you tried them?

 

The vango venture 5  here  could be an alternative for you, if you can't find a mallard. It is similar size and layout, is easy enough to put by one person too.

All brands you mentioned have good reputations, and the vango too, just don't be tempted to get a cheap tent from ebay, if in doubt, ask here, someone will put you right if it's a good one or not.

www.abc-camping.co.uk they seem to have the mallard 5 in stock, same tent of course just slightly bigger, if not try and find a camping store near you that has a good tent display so you can have a good look round and know what your buying , you ll be spoilt for choice !

Hi Deb and welcome to ukcs. We had the mallard 6 (fits 4 comfortabley) last year and it was a fab tent (pic in my gallery).So easy to pitch and loads of living space. We managed to get 6 of us and a dog in.
