Hi all,

Just decided to register as a member after spending sometime reading the foums.

Looking for some advice on a new smaller tent. I'm looking for a tent for me to use on my own (when on cub camps) but will still fit my 10yr old with me when the 2 of us go with out the rest of the tribe. However I want to be able to stand up or a close as possible (fed up or crawling in on hands & knees getting to old now!)

I've looked at the Vango Venture 500 or a Vango Beta 450.

Anyone got any advice.

Hello Welsh one,

I was quite taken last year with the Aztec Seville, sold as a four birth. Maybe a 3 birth, but then a gain I like the comfort of an inflatable mattress.

A more practical suggestion might be a 3 pole hoop tent such as the Outwell twin (4 birth again).

You could take a look at the (semi-Geo?) Wynnster Curlew 4. I don't have experience of any of these tents, but Wynnster as a brand I trust.

If you insist on having stand up room then I think you are looking at a 3 birth tent minimum.

Finally, being involved in cubs as you are, a ridge tent might appeal to you in which case have a look at the Peakland Challenger 240 from Yeomans outdoor.

I hope these give you something to think about, But at least consider this post a bump.

Regards,

Elegant Mess
