Hi Chick,

Don't bother buying another tent dig deep and get a tin tent, Sandra will be really warm in that with blow air heating you could always sleep in a pup tent at the side of van.

When you next out camping? If David gets his way we will be away tomorrow night.

Laura

Hi Laura

There will be no tin tent because all the monies spent on our new Wolf Lake tent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you had a nice time at Witches Craig.  We are booked up for Blair Castle for the Gala weekend with Rab & Rose & a couple of litres of Scotland's finest tipple. Plenty of "Irn Bru" to share with David!

Managed to pack the tent down on Sunday night although stupidly forgot to take any pictures... doh...

Have left the ZIG attached and packed away zig and outer in the main bag and then poles, inners, porch and pegs in the poles bag.  Only problem was the pack size with the zig attached was a bit of a squeeze getting it back into the bag.  Think a couple of bungy cords or webbing straps might be a good idea to hold it together before putting it into the bag.  Glad I'm not carrying it far as it weighs a lot.

Think I will take my penknife with me on our next trip and make a small cut for the bedroom anchor point until the new carpets arrive later this year or next.

Very excited now about our proper week long outing planned for 6 weeks time.

Never have to worry about fitting the thing back in the bag Justin as OH does it whilst I get the easy job of lookng after the kids & I certainly can't lift it an inch once packed! lol.

Not surprised you excited, find something else I love about it each time we pitch it.  Think I will try & get the carpet cut myself this next week - off to Devon Sat til following Sunday so think it will drive me mad if I don't.  Ordered kids room as a surprise for my 5 yr old back in Feb (he fell in love ith at the NEC) & have been told that should be in stock this week so that should hopefully be arriving Friday so can't wait for that

Make sure you get some pictures next time you pitch it please.

i just bought the wolf lake 7 tent and we are sooo pleased with it! Can't wait to go camping in it now. We have only managed to put the tent up to see what it is like, as we have only had the tent a week! Really excited about the space and the quality of the material of the tent

Just need to find some flooring for it now, cos we can't find a carpet thats in stock! Mind you, it might have something to do with the problems that some people are having with the anchor points being in the wrong place.

This tent is soooooo much better than our previous tent (vango diablo 600 xp), by miles!! Only problem we have, is that we're now stuck with a vango diablo carpet that we've only used once, as our tent had problems, they gave us a full refund on the tent, but not on the carpet, as there was nothing wrong with carpet!!

Overall....fantastic!!

Hi Grubby

Just bought a Wolf Lake 7 today from PJ camping for £599 and hope to go away in it at the weekend. Although I like my 600xp the quality of the wolf Lake is as you say so much better.

How long did it take you to put it up? was it easier than the 600XP?

Hope the weathers ok for you at the weekend.

Cheers

Charlie.

It took us quite along time to pitch up first, as me and the hubby was reading iff the different pitching sheets, that worded things a little differently! But once we agreed, it was up in no time really. The tent lays flat, with the pole sleeves facing upwards. You post the poles through. We put the back up first. So you pick up the back pole and slot the pole into the oins at the base. You then secure the pole up with the guy ropes. You then repeat this witht the rest of the poles. Zip in the groundsheet. Peg out the corners. Slot in the side poles. Hang bedrooms. Fasten down the guy ropes. Fill the tent with all your stuff! Sounds simple. When you've done it once, and you know what your doing, it is quite simple. I think that this tent is about the same to put up as the diablo. The diablo was a little fiddly when putting the middle main room cross pole up. This tent is sooo much better than the vango by miles!!! In more ways then one!!

To take it down, we just reversed the way we pitched.

Hope this has helped!! If you have any better tips, please let me know!!

Ta!!
