Have a look at the Kestrel Also in my gallery. We have one and there is loads of space in it. One big bedroom and one small with a huge living area. Also the front zips off completely and can be moved to half way back in the tent giving you a porch area (or left off completely if you like)
I would go to a large camping store and have a look at whats on display - we are in Leicestershire so we go to Go Outdoors at Loughborough but that might be too far for you to go - I'm sure there will be somewhere close to you.
We have a Diablo 900 (which would be too big for you but we have 3 kids!) and also an Outwell Montana 6 (we got this as we often have problems getting sites to accept our massive Diablo) The Montana is fab and it has 2 sleeping 'rooms' and a massive living space which opens out nicely - we picked it up for £289 at Go Outdoors - it is really easy and quick to pitch, a bit over your budget but it is a very good price for that tent
All the tents recommended look good but I'm leaning towards the Kestrel. I like the simple shape and the versatility of the living space. The price is right too. Can't find it any cheaper than the link provided.
Thanks for the advice.

Bear in mind the Kestrel also comes in a 6 berth (and a 4) so have a look and see which one suits your needs best before you think of buying. Have a look here at some of my photos. It would also be a good idea to get to see some tents erected near you, that way you will get a better idea of your wants and needs.
I recently bought the kestrel 6 after reading about it here and seeing matshans pictures. i have put a review in the tent review section at the top of the page. Outdoor kit gave very good fast sevice, I bought online, I had a problem with the first tent arriveing damaged in transit, they sorted a replacement immediately, no hassle , would recommend them. Also look here for more about what other owners thought of their tent.
The Kestral looks like a definite then. We'll go for the biggest one for futureproofing. Your photos were helpful Matshan. Am glad you could vouch for the seller Debbie. Thanks.
Do you remember which delivery company they used? We are never in during the day so usually have to collect.

It's a bit tricky with work as it is a big building with too many people but Parcelforce is perfect. The Post Office they leave stuff at is 2 mins walk from my house.
I would highly recommend the Coleman Darwin 5 it's in the reviews but for some reason someone's put the wrong price they a very spacious the biggest bedroom could fit in a king sized blow up bed and a small one the smallest of the 2 could also they come in easily fit in a double air bed they come in 2 sizes 5man and 7man but here's the reviews
After buying an Aldi tent today I would recommend one of those! There are 3 bedrooms but you can take up the partition between two of the rooms to make one bigger bedroom. They are a really good height, lots of space and good spec...all for £80!
Hi we have a sunncamp cottage frame tent for sale for £150 should last for years and sleeps 6 in 2 or 3 bedrooms so you can have 1 big bedroom and 1 double and lots of living
