Has any one got one of these tents? Just seen one at Go Outdoors at Wakefield and was impressed by the layout. It seems heavy for a 5 birth but seeing as we go camping by car this isnt a problem . Could any one let me know the good and bad points of this tent please .

Phil

Hi, we have a coleman cedar creek and used it for the first time last weekend.

We have never been camping before so cannot compare it to any other tent.

The tent is quite spacious with good head height and we thought it was a good tent, fairly straight forward to pitch. ( we did do a practice run first which we definetly needed).

plenty of windows and so nice and bright, and all the windows have the mesh on them to stop the bugs.

We bought ours from go outdoors wakefield.

hope this helps a bit.

Good tent, very easy to live with. (longest so far is five days/nights)

Very stable in windy conditions and no leaks.

Love the mesh on all doors! Also good to have the choice of three doors to use, means if outside one doorway becomes muddy or worn you can easily switch to another.

You really need at least two of you to put it up, at least one of you needs to be reasonably tall. (Might be difficult if you're both under 5'7" - 5'8")

Putting the tent up in windy conditions is quite a challenge as the tent is quite delicate at some stages of the erection process.
