We have a new gelert tunnel tent and have only been out in it for a week (and it was fine) but seem to have developed a tiny addiction to tents !

So after much googling and reading the threads on this forum we have a list of possibilities but no reviews on here on the Coleman matrix and Coleman sector 5 or 7.

Does anyone have one of these tents or know anyone that does?

Think we also need a Vango diablo, a pyramid and possibly a bungalow tent. Oh and maybe a larger house to store them all

Any feedback (positive or not) would be welcome.

Thanks muchly

Karin.

Aint  Coleman tents just so good looking !

And they seem to be very spacious.

We were at Obelink a few weeks ago and my other half had to drag me out of a sector x5... gorgeous tent! But the weathermaster also looks very cool... need to see one erected. Looks like another long drive to go play in the tents

Thanks for the recommendation

We have had a Coleman Weathermaster and it proved to be a brilliant tent.  We have also had a Coleman Visé-a-Visé - another brilliant tent.  As you can tell I have a penchant for Coleman tents.

The thing I love about Coleman tents is their design to allow all the walls to convert to canopies when it is hot, and then close down to make a really weatherproof tent.

Like you we had an addiction to buying tents - cost us a fortune.

Enjoy your addiction and I hope you get a lot of pleasure from it.

ATB for the season.

Hi Karin. I think i have a bit of an addiction too. We have bought 5 tents in the last 4 years lol. I can't really comment on the coleman tents except to say that we bought a coleman quadspace as our first family tent and we only used it once as it didn't suit us at the time. Still in the loft lol. Lots of people on here have a few tents so your wont be on your own lol.

Ah not just me then

I want a Coleman, a Vando diablo, a pyramid and a few others.. maybe a bit excessive.

But hey, there are worse things we could be addicted to !!!

The thing i like about our coleman it has a zipped ground sheet so you have the option of to leave it open for ventilation or closed for when it's cold and windy

I think I'm a bit of an addict too, although I don't actually buy them, just spend hours in the camping shops and going to shows just looking.

We had an Outwell Montana 12 and got 3 (long) seasons out of it. We had been looking to replace it or get something a bit smaller for weekends but then last year it was stolen, along with all our other camping stuff that we kept locked in the trailer in the back garden.

Anyway, over the winter we have managed to replace most of the equipment but now we need to decide on the tent!

I bought a Vango Amazon 800 which I am really impressed with but it is just too big for us, especially as I now need to be able to put it up by myself.

My original plan was to downsize to something like the vango orchy 500 or 600 but the camping shop near us has got the Coleman weathermaster XL up and it looks great. I think I'd go for the L rather than the XL and I've seen that last years version (the galileo) is about £200 cheaper, Bargain! I've read all the reviews on here and the only problem seems to be some pooling of water on the roof lights but I don't think that would bother me too much!

So thats the plan for now (I'll probably change my mind again before long) as soon as I manage to sell the Amazon 800.

Good luck with you're tent buying - Enjoy!

We had (have) a Coleman Bispace 400, it was a good tent. Completly weatherproof, it just didn't have the space and light that we wanted, the quality was great.

All the new Colemans i have seen since just don't seem to be the same quality alot more flimsey and a whole lot cheaper imo!!

Our friends galileo pooled water on the roof light, it ended up with it hanging in about 8 inches like a giant blister.

Go with the Coleman any day!

I had a Wynnster last year which was great but died in a storm. After reading about the problems and looking at the price, I went with an "end of season" 07 Galilieo- franklys its i great- the design is fantastic (apart from the colour) and it is about the easiest tent I've ever put up. I had the roof problem on the first outing but solved it with a 50p length of guy tied in a cross shape  between the sleeping compartment attachements under the skylight- a minor problem when compared to what you get for your money!
