Yes i've got one, we haven't used it yet (only in the garden) and i wouldn't be without it now. I've bought it to cook in, in case of rain. Also when it does rain it will be so much easier to take wet coats off, leave shoes in to save the new carpet etc etc.

The door can stay open in the rain so you wont feel hemmed in and the rain can't get in the tent. They are all our reasons for getting one, maybe yours will be different?

And if by magic we get some sun some extra shade

Thanks

I think so - I've seen the extension advertised as fitting both, and as the Minnesota 4 is the replacement for the Montana 4 (they found the Montana 4 was an expensive 4 person tent in the current market, and so made the cheaper Minnesota instead), it does make sense.

I have the canopy (bought as part of a package).

I think it is great. The cooker is simply put under that and stays there! As others have said you can have the door open without the rain coming in. sit out in the rain (or snow as i have). Allows nmuch more room inside if the weather's really bad.

I can only assume that the extension is better, although i would be wary of cooking near the sides.....

canopy v extensin is all i can say, definitely a must!!!
