Just to let you know the Bell Tents that Obelink sell are identical to the ones on belltent.co.uk We got ours from Holland back in March and it is great. Do not believe the belltent.co.uk hype they are the same and you do get a European Warranty it is the same as if you had bought it in the UK. How do I know - I am a lawyer and I have researched it. Obelink have told me that they are the same tents and that belltents.co.uk have asked them not to supply he public in the UK. Ask yourself why that is!! I will give you a clue-----
belltent.co.uk £249 obelink.nl E159
Does not take a genius to work out why they do not want obelink to supply the UK.
Ive bought ours from obelink too. but we have a problem with it and though they have agreed to repair and return to us they are refusing to pay for it to be sent back to them as we didnt tell them the tent leaked within 14 days! (we told them within 21 days!) I couldnt afford to buy a bell tent in the UK so can hardly afford to send it back to them, and i find it really unfair that we have to pay when they sold us a tent not fit for purpose. I have to say tho, it being a dutch company im finding the complaining process very difficult, in as much as their english is poor but also i dont seem to have a legla leg to stand on :(
will let you know how i get on, if i ever get anywhere with it, in the meantime i have a beautiful 5m bell tent that leaks in the rain :/
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Have you tried it more than once? The seams need to be wet then dried to become waterproof. Ours was OK the first time it rained but I have heard that others have not been.
I suggest you try it again and spray it with a hose or leave it out in the rain to see if it really does have a proper leak.
