I wondered if anyone knew the differences between this year's and last year's model and whether they're much of an improvement.
We're looking to buy our first family tent and think we've narrowed it down to this one but obviously last year's model comes up cheaper. Is the 2008 worth the extra £50?
Thanks in advance for any information.

We weren't meant to be camping until later in the summer so we were going to have a bit longer to do our research but my husband's just booked us for next weekend so we're having to buy everything in a rush.
After looking around numerous camping stores we have decided to buy on one of the 2008 models solely due to the colours available. I've noticed in the last year that loads of people seem to have bought Diablo's and they all seem to be the Blue 2007 models. We want one that is easily recognisable on a busy site for the kids to find when theyve been playing, but I also think the Sage colour is more "heat" friendly if you know what I mean!

We have just got a 2008 model based on the larger bedroom size. Havent put it up yet as I dont think our garden is big enough. I will let you know what I think when we 'get it up' as they say
Thanks everyone for the various thoughts. Luckily, we've managed to borrow my brother's tent for the weekend so we can put off the decision-making for a bit and have a look at what's around on the campsite.
67lofty I'll be interested to hear how the erection goes!
My OH is now pondering the 900 instead. Here we go again...

Hi 8342mat
I like what you have done with your trailer, how high is the extended side's, did you have special brackets made for the roof rack.
Cheers
Charlie
The extended sides are the same height as the originals, so a foot. this gives me a two foot height. This makes the trailer a 2x3x4 = 24 cuft rather than the standard 1x3x4 thus a 100% increase in very useable space. It doesn't look as daft behind the discovery now either, infact i can see it through the back window. The roof rack is clamped on with the original gutter clamps. They clamp hard enough that you can pick the empty trailer up by the rack. To be on the safe side i also strap it down with ratchet straps.
