In another Orchy topic I posted about how I was unable to get the tent back into the bag. However, after taking it camping two of us managed to get the tent back into the tent with room to spare!!
We removed all poles and pegs, folded it in half length ways, then again, and I had someone roll along the tent to squish all the air out. Then the two of us tightly rolled the tent and it managed to fit in the bag, with the poles and pegs and I reckon at a squish I could have got the footprint sheet in as well!
The thing that really helped was the removal of all the air. Give it a go and I assure you I can get my 500 back into the bag :)
I only just got it in the bag on first attempt (oversized bag?!) - second time I folded sides in , folding at the diagonal corners of porch then, using bag as guide folded in again. I rolled it up getting kids to crawl down it(!) to get air out and then it went in more easily.. still would debate the 'oversized' description of the bag though!

Ok so the the tip is not to fold it but roll it once it is folded and half again the width of the poles
--------------------------------- one edge fold over to B

--------------------------------- middle of tent

---------------------------------- one edge B
Then fold again to size of poles , get the kids to roll on it to remove air and then roll it up small.
Thanks guys !!! I try it this week . I think I email Vango anyway just see if they make a video with those 2 guys rolling on it from the pitching DVD LOL.
Its still a good tent plenty of room inside and easy to pitch so you will still have your friends Former scout. I fitted my vango large canopy over the front (from my vango diablo), for extra space. (may get a few odd looks ) but the extra space is nice to sit outside with a hard earned glass of wine the kids sleeping !!
Thanks for this as we have just bought one and after putting it up in the garden could not get it back in the bag! It took my DH 20 minutes to pitch,( but he was timing himself and racing!) with only minimal asssistance - this was without all of the guys though. So very pleased with it apart from getting it back in the bag which now looks to be solved!
I know Other Half, Better Half and Significant Other. But apart from a Designated Hitter in the American League of Baseball I can't work out what a DH is.

I couldn't get mine back in the back either and I still haven't found the time to try again. DH(!) has kindly donated his ex motocross racing bag which is slightly bigger than the Vango bag and I think this will be my Orchys new home!!
I have emailed Vango about the so called "Oversized bag" which I am sure came from the Vango Marketing department .
If I was from Vango when the tent was being made and designed I would have seen that the proposed bag would be too small unless you have a degree in paper folding (its made in china where paper folding is a major hobby) .
Its these small things which matter when the weather is closing in and you need to pack up and fit all the sleeping bags, mats, cooker etc etc into the car. They have worked on making the tent quick to Pitch (20 mins I need to work on my pitching speed ) and make these claims through the catalogue so come on Vango if you read this site
Do the complete Job pitch the tent , pack it away for us on DVD and make the bag the correct size
Oh I almost forgot last night I got my Orchy back in the bag without the poles !! still not as small when I purchased it .
If you see a Orchy tent over the season just say hello and swap packing tales

I wanted a tent I could pitch myself, but I can't get it back in the bag without DH either!! Still I can always carry it home loose and set him on it once the kids are in bed!!
I would say that is the tent's only down-side!
Now, I'm sure I have a big black holdall somewhere.......
Bought the Orchy 600 as first tent in 20 years (Kids wanted to try camping!!). Had the same packaway issue until a seasoned old hand helped. Basically fold in half longways, then fold either side to centre (tucking bits in along the way!!!). Then roll tightly. Unroll again and roll a second time. This seems to work well, at getting the air out, and I easily got it back in the - just big enough!!!!! - bag.
