Hi anyone know of pitching times and ease of this tent, hopefully its okay as we have just invested in it with a sun porch also.
We can't pitch in the garden so will be pitching when camping end of whit week.We have had the quick erect type before so this should be fun.
Also does the coleman coolbox extreme really keep cold for 5 days or does it need to plug in to cig lighter in car, as we really need to invest in coolbox that works.
thanks

We had one of these and its a great tent , typical tunnel tent to put up.Never really timed it but I would say about 30-40 mins max ,thats including pegging out etc.

we have 70 l coolbox extreme (doesn't have elec power) and with tech ice sheets and a few other ice packs we have certainly kept food frozen for 4 days (went home before the day 5 test)... but would suggest that the more stuff that goes in frozen in the first place, the more likely it is to stay frozen for longer. Took it to France last year and even when left out in the sun circa 30 degrees ice blocks were lasting three days.

Jessie-jane we have just bought the same tent as a replacement for the campus indiana 8. It's the same tent but with a SIG. Put ours up a couple of weekends ago and it took us 40 mins then the bedrooms to go in. We didn't guy out though and had to check we had all the pieces so I reckon 40 mins would be an average. It's easier than the indiana as there is no separate ground sheet to lay out and peg out. Enjoy
It's not too bad timewise but I'd recommend two adults as it's such a large tent and can be a little unwieldy when it comes to walking them out, particularly if it's windy. We also make good use of our 11 year old daughter to help my side If it's your first time you should allow at least an hour for those reasons. It's a lovely tent though, saw us all through last season with all the bad weather, no leaks or anything. Have a great holiday in it!
