How do you find your Venture 500? Is it quick to put up? I was thinking about the Vango Tamor 500 but as far as I can see it's more or less the same as the Venture.
Hiya Lesley.I was wondering if the ensign blue might match. As for the tent we haven't used it yet except in the garden lol.It is quite quick to put up.I did manage on my own,but wouldn't recommend. The taymor is just the new name for this model but possibly with a higher HH.I thought we would have a second tent for shorter visits and outer erect after the rain we had last year !! Thanks for your reply.
I think it is the Ensign Blue, as I had to take mine back today and that was the colour the girl chose on the till.
I put it up in our front room and I found it quite easy, but the porch pole was a bit tight and put stress on the sleeve, but we got it in, it would probably give a little in time.
I beleive it does. I have just bought a carpet and a large sun canopy from outdoor megastore for my 2006 vv500 - had a right game getting the colour right but outdoor megastore were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend them.

I must say that I think this tent is exceptional value for money. I have ordered the carpet and footprint for this tent.Whether it is under Venture or Taymor, it will fit. The bedroom pod is fully enclosed and there is a riser groundsheet in the porch area. There are some bargains to be had on the venture if you look around, cos obviously they want to market the Taymor now lol ! I too can recommend Outdoor Megastore for their helpfulness.
Thanks for your replies people.oops, meant to be a smiley face here but not working lol !! Imagine a thumbs up !!
No in the end I went for the slate/marine I think it was. As mine is the 2006 version they don't do an exact match for my tent :( but it looks pretty close. Will post pictures when I get back from Derbyshire at the end of the month
If you buy a carpet for the VV500 does it mean hat you don't need a sleeping mat? Thanks,Ian
Well, I think if you were a hardened Scout or other non-tenderfoot then you could sleep on the carpet and not utterly freeze to death. But for the vast majority of us wussy people a sleeping mat of some sort would be a necessity.
I have just bought a venture 500, but it is a greenish colour, all the pictures of it seem to be blue, I wanted to get a canopy for it, any ideas anyone?
