Hi, yes I saw it in CC mag too but have not seen one in the flesh yet to get a sense of the build quality - follow this link to the Twister 5 and click on the video HERE to see the "roll away" design in action; definitely easier that the exploding pop-ups that take heavy-weight kung-fu tactics to return to the bag!!
The poles are already attached to the fabric, and the foot of the poles (when bunched together) are gathered in a little pocket in the circular stuff sack, then you curl the poles into a circle to feed them into the bag.
I think it is an ingenious design and I guess the poles are solid rather than hollow so will be a lot stronger.
I was interested in the twister 4 esp after watching the video, when I saw it at a local supplier ask if they could put it up for me. They agreed as they had not tried it out. Must say very impressive going up, lots of space, head height etc.
Then they tried to get it back in the bag! Really not as easy as it looks! They struggled for about 20 minutes, that was 2 very strong men, who could not believe how much effort it took. Slight problem though as they realized part of the flap to close the bag was trapped under the tent. Tent had to come back out again (by now wish I had not asked!), but again took about 20 minutes and a few choice words!
I asked them if they would recommend for single mum going away with 2 girls, they said nobut they did recommend the quick pitch ds4. They allowed me to have a look and even though its a pop-up tent its goes up in less than 3 min and packs away so easy, think it takes less time to put away than to put up!
