Am I mad to downsize for convenience of putting a tent up?

I am very tempted with the Khyam Petworth (or Chatsworth)... mainly for ease of putting up. BUT worried about "DOWNSIZING" !

We have an old Khios King (Massive 8 berth with large integrated front and back porches - BRILLIANT living area and everything about it is perfect) BUT it is old, 2 poles are broken, flysheet has shrunk and it is not easy to put up even with 2 people...

SO thinking time to replace - PROBABLY with 2 tents (one large direct replacement, and a smaller one for just me and the children). Is this mad?

I have a husband who is not a keen camper - so might well go for weekends with my (almost 5yr old) twins. MORE likely to brave it if I have a tent which is easy to put up!

We would be going in a group so I would have help - but looking at all the current range of tents (spoilt for choice!) I have narrowed it down to the Petworth, Chatsworth and possibly the Montana 6.

If someone thinks I should consider something different PLEASE COMMENT !! I am open to suggestions or influence!

Personally I'd go for a Cabanon Guadeloupe - the pyramid design is pretty quick and easy to put up but more importantly, should you and the twins suddenly find yourselves caught up in the sort of raging hoolie that hit many famillies at the weekend, you would be safe in the knowledge that you were camping in one of the strongest, safest, most wind resistant tents money can buy.

Thank you for replying!
Had a look at that - looks like a nice tent - but I dont think I can downsize that much

Still need the space for children to play inside, and although they are small - they take up space and come with STUFF....

I downsized from a Royal Pescara 8(still for sale!!) to a Vango Orchy 600.  The Vango was just so much easier to pitch and I think if you are just spending the odd couple of nights camping then a tent this size is more than adequate.  Now if I was to camp for two week stretches at a time then the Pescara would win hands down!!  I love how quick and easy the vango is to pitch/take down.
