I can't seem to find out what kind of groundsheet there is for the sleeping section. Is it sewn-in, or detachable like the living area?

The bedroom is a sealed SIG inner that hangs off the outer skin. The groundsheet is plastic type and the living space bathtub groundsheet is also attached to it so once the outer is up you fit the bedroom and floor in one.

Thanks Nigel.

BTW can two adults and two children squeeze into the VV500 for a short 2-3day break? We'll have a utility tent, and the car for extra storage...

Hi Andyal,

yes you can squeeze 2 double airbeds in the bedroom. I say bedroom because it is actually a dividing curtain down the middle.

I dont know if you saw my post the other day but we got ours this week from gooutdoors.co.uk at £59.95 plus £4.95 postage. (offer ends 1st june)

Bought one today - picked it up myself in Oxford. £59.95 a bargain.

It's a 2008 tent apparently; anyone know what, if any, changes were made to 2007 model.

I am not sure but cant see how it can be a 2008 tent as Vango now produce the Tamor as a replacement. There are however few differences other than colour between the Tamor and the VV500, HH being the main one.

I was wondering that, because I knew about the Tamor; I suspect it's actually a 2007. I may query this with them. Anyway, GO had one up in the grounds and it looked a good size for us (2+2) and with the bonus of being small enough to be put up in the garden (especially for occasional childrens sleepovers etc), unlike our Indiana 8.

I think thats a bargain price and am really thinking about getting another for ourselves. Might even be worth picking up a few for our Scout Group???

That price ends tomorrow and I'm dithering about getting one?

Can someone confirm that it's easy to put up single handed, put down easily and packs away OK in the bag?

Cos, if so,I'm gonna buy

Yes, yes and yes. I always put it up on my own while OH sorts the trailer and the dogs. It takes about 15 minutes to fully pitch and guy but you can start putting your kit in after about 10 mins.
