HI - my impression of this is that the kids room replaces the whole sleeping room in the Montana 6. Does anyone have one of these? I would have thought/hoped it would be a split system - kids/grown ups. Thanks

You just roll half of the inner back that comes with the tent. Then hang the kids room up in the space. Ive read that they only fit the 2008 model properly.

oh, cool - its a 2008 so will look in to that. I do wish i could find better information from Outwell sometimes. Thanks for your reply!!

Yep tis true they only fit the newer model Montana 6, i found out the hard way!!

How can I tell if my Montana is a 2007 or 2008 version? We bought it a month ago from Go Outdoors but I know sometimes they sell old versions of tents - is it written on the bag somewhere?

If half the room is rolled back, does it still sleep 2 children, or just one?

i would love to see one put up in a montana 6 rather than those showy brochure pics that really only show the full size room, so i can see what happens to the existing section's storage pockets etc. i feel it hasn't yet really been thought out for the montana 6. if any one has has a picture they want to share, i'd be really pleased. thanks.

Snap! Would help me too. I went along to the Cotswold Outdoor show and they had lots of Outwells but hadn't managed to get a kids room to display.The chap muttered about "hoping" for on the next day, but I was surprised given that it's a new item this year, you'd think they'd be showing it off for the 'wow' factor ... so maybe it's not that great?

At DW Camping in West Sussex they have all the kids rooms up in the various tents. I liked them but because Outwell decicded to change the SV8 to a completely different tent, it doesn't fit the older versions!
