We are going to look at a De Wit pyramid tent tomorrow... looks great with a fantastic price but....

Are they good tents?

I know that Cabanon and De Waard are but not sure about De Wit

Anyone got any advice before I buy it?

I think (not sure) that De Witt and De Waard are the same.

I'm sure I saw it on the Karsten tents thread.

De Waard and De Wit are not the same! De Wit are a camping store who also sell their own brand tents. I have never visited a store myself but apparently they are huge! They certainly have a massive range of tents available on their website!

Regarding the quality, a dutch member commented on another thread that they are of decent quality, but not in the same league as De Waard or Karsten (or Randstad, but they have stopped making tents!)

There are some De Wit pyramids which bear the same name as the Cabanon ones (Guadeloupe and Barbados), and appear identical in the photo's! I think it may be possible that these are in fact Cabanons rebranded as De Wit, particularly as there are also other models (such as the Mont Blanc and Bretagne) that have previously been branded as Cabanon! This is just speculation, but if it is the case then the De Wit pyramids at least, are of very good quality!

De Wit and De Waard definately are not the same thing but we did go and buy the De Wit and she is gorgeous ! And an absolute bargain !!!

We tried pitching her but had problems so started a new post asking for advice and tips.. hopefully next time will be better :)

But it does seem to be top quality... and large ! Husband didnt want a pyramid but I won :)
