We have just brought Royal Avignon 6 SG Tent today for £299 and the matching carpet for £50 not taken them out of the box yet.

We are hoping we have made the right decision and paid the right price. Really worried as it's so much money.

Or should we return it ?

Evening jettstarr,

I have just mentioned this tent on another post,

http://www.worldoftents.co.uk/khyam-ontario-8-tent-free-footprint-groundsheet-p-483.html?currency=GBP

Also you can buy a matching carpet for around £45, it all comes down to exactly what you require though at the end of it all.Don't know a lot regarding the Royal Avignon though just had a peep on the web and it looks a nice unit, though I suppose i'm biased because I have an Ontario 8 and know its a great tent, though don't let me put you off, until we bought ours we had looked at dozens of tents, I know it is a hard decision when it comes down to spending your hard earned cash and hoping you have made the right choice.

All The Best

Keith

we bought this tent and its brilliant, we live in Northampton and paid £269 for it in the sale but we didnt get the carpet so now we wish we had as it was at the special price of £35 when purchasing the tent. Iwas too worried about the extra weight in the car with the carpet as the tent when packed is massive and flipping heavy.

Hi Jettstarr

We bought our Avignon over 3 years ago and have used it several times a year since then, both in France and UK.  We are a family of 5 (3 teens) and it suits us great.  There's so much room and love the windows.  Even tho its so huge, I managed to take it when I went on holiday with a friend last year, without our OHs, and we managed fine to put it up (2 not very tall ladies!)

Tent seems great quality, still looks almost brand new, and is easy to fit back in the bag too.  We have the earlier clip in groundsheet version, without the extra storage space, but still is plenty of room for comfort on rainy days.

Pele66 - we use a cheap blue tarp from B&Q, not sure  what size we bought, but the tent footprint is 5.2 x 4.6m, so you could buy one around that size and cut it down if necessary.  I think we paid £6 last year for ours.

Aw poor tent all boxed up and lonely

You know you want to pitch it and it needs attention :)

You bought it because you loved it right? Trust your instincts. It is a very nice tent

Dont forget to post pics :)

Angie
