OK, I already have a Monty 6 and we've used this on our last 2 trips to France, and it's been GREAT, so I know how good this tent is. However, at almost 40kg it's a heavy piece of kit with those steel poles and despite all of you Monty owners who say its easy to erect, it's not without some effort! I'm therefore thinking of buying the Nevada L for this years trip in the hope that it will be easier and less effort to erect; be quite a bit lighter (even with the additional ext); and will hopefully encourage us to use it more for weekend breaks than our current Monty does. So come on you Nevada L owners, just give me the encouragement I need to go and buy it, or should I stick with the Monty?

I am very happy with our one its dose not take to long to put up only about 1/2 hour and is easy had no probs putting it up, even on our 1st try. Loads of space and with the carpet in its very homely. Only thing we dont like in the doors hang in when you open them so the rain water gets in the tent and the rain shied dose not cover the hole door but we are buying the side canopy to solve this.
Hi Patrick, I have the nevada xl and think its just great too. I have also had a monty 6 in the past and the quality is just as good in the nevada. Easy to to pitch and of course a lot lighter than the monty.
We bought the Nevada M as we wanted a weekend tent that was easy to put up and light. It is a brilliant tent - we have been away twice in it now. I hope they will bring out a side canopy for this model next year because that would make it perfect!
Thanks for your replies. We did look at the Nevada M last week and were very tempted. Like you say Kaz, a canopy for this would be perfect. In the meantime however I think we're going to go with the Nevada L. They're certainly getting a lot of posts on here recently from satisfied users.
Thanks again everyone.

Weve just purchased the Nevada XL it arrived this week and had a practice pitch last night in the garden. It tooki 2 of us 30min to pitch and guy it all out and that was following instructions so now we know what were doing it'll much quicker.
We were originally looking at the Nevada L but winfields are currently selling the XL at the same price and with a carpet thrown in so it was to good an offer to refuse!

Hi, we bought the Nevada XL from Winfields at Haslingden and we were very pleased with it very roomy and easy to put up. It retailed at £129.00 including the free carpet so its vey homely, we have also invested in the side extension which looks good and provides even more room.
