Does anyone know whether Aldi's tents are up to much?  I noticed thay have a six man one in stock from Sunday.  I would like to know whether it has a sewn in ground sheet.  Has anyone else bought one there before?

I had a quick look to see if there were any threads on this but the search function isn't working.  Sorry if this is a duplicate.

I can't tell from the photo if the groundsheet is sewn in or not but it has three bedrooms and they obviously have. At that price i don't think you can go wrong - its got a good HH at 4000 and its compact enough. If i hadnt alreday got sorted i would have been very tempted with this tent. Have you seen the other camping stuff listed for Sunday too?

Yes, I think we'll be getting some sleeping bags and the LED light.  DH likes the look of the electric converter thingy too.  We have a tent but it's a cheap 6 man dome tent we haven't used for five years, we have two children aged 3 and 2 and I don't want to go ill equipped.  I'm pretty sure the HH rating on the one we have is pretty poor, it's a Footpath hyperdome.

The led light is in wilkinsons at £3 .99 and some poundlands have them too, they are very good, and the batteries last very well.

If you do decide to get the tent, come back and let us know all about it, it looks good in the HH of 4000, and it says it has a 3 year warranty, shame it doesn't show a floorplan.

I remember a few years back I helped a couple to put up a tent they'd just bought from Aldis. It looked very similar in shape to the evolution . They had only paid about £70 for it and it was quite good quality from what I remember of it.

Ooh, I will check Poundland tomorrow. Thanks.  I got some collapsable water containers from there too.  I will let you know about the tent.  I'm sure I can convince DH we need another.

The ones in poundland only have one ring of lights , the others have 2, but they are very bright, the best economical battery lights i've had. Poundland sell kodak AA batteries  in packs of 8, the lights take 3 each, and lasted all weekend, even the one that got left on all night.

Hi - picked up a brochure from Aldi and it shows the bedroom layout as three separate rooms - it looks like it has a sig from the picture (then again it may just be attached to the sides of the tent - a bit difficult to tell) - only just bought our Gelert Horizon 8 and are considering getting this for weekend trips just me and OH - tent addicts already and we've only camped once!!!!!

My husband works for Aldi and he says he doesn't think it has a SIG but is going to check and get back to me.

Does it have steel poles as well as fibreglass - again I am trying to guess from the picture but this could be perfect for my family on cub camp wekends when we just need a bedroom.

It says the poles are fibreglass in the leaflet, there's more info in that.  It looks very much like a S.I.G, you can see in the pictures of the other equipment they have for sale which have been taken inside the tent.
